Welcome to Downpatrick Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhiredownpatrick.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Downpatrick Rental

All vehicle rentals with Downpatrick are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. This agreement specifies terms, conditions, insurance cover, charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

2. Downpatrick Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Downpatrick, you must:

Be at least 21 years old for rentals in Downpatrick (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address and a payment method as required by the Rental Agreement.

3. Reservations and Payment

Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Downpatrick location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally due at vehicle collection. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Collection and Return — Downpatrick

When collecting a vehicle in Downpatrick you must inspect it for any existing damage and report any issues immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed at handover. Return the vehicle in the same condition as collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be assessed and charged to the hirer.

5. Insurance and Liability - Downpatrick

Basic third-party insurance is included with all rentals from Downpatrick. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to lower your financial liability. Please review these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount shown in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Downpatrick's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the applicable terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Disallowed Uses

Do not use a Downpatrick vehicle for:

Any unlawful use of the vehicle. Racing, rallying, off-road driving, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous goods. Subletting the vehicle to third parties or permitting drivers not authorised by Downpatrick. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes the vehicle was not designed for...

Violating Downpatrick's restrictions may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges.

8. Downpatrick Liability Limit

To the maximum extent permitted by the law of Northern Ireland, Downpatrick Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount paid by you to Downpatrick Vehicle Hire Services for the service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Applicable Law (Downpatrick)

These Terms for Downpatrick are governed by Northern Ireland law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland courts.

10. Changes to Downpatrick Terms

Downpatrick may revise these Terms at any time. Revisions become effective immediately upon posting to the Downpatrick website. Continued use of Downpatrick services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
